About NCR
Fifteen years of independent credit opinion in Bangladesh
National Credit Ratings Limited is a full service rating company serving corporates, banks, financial institutions, insurers and small businesses — governed by a board drawn from regulation, banking, accountancy and academia.
National Credit Ratings Limited (NCR) is a full service rating company that offers a wide range of services. Incorporated as a public company, NCR started its business with a paid up capital of Tk 20.00 million.
The Securities and Exchange Commission granted the licence to NCR in June 2010 under the Credit Rating Companies Rules 1996. The company is recognised by Bangladesh Bank as an External Credit Assessment Institution (ECAI).
A rating is only as useful as the institution behind it. NCR's opinions carry weight because both apex regulators have approved the company to issue them, because every rating is produced under a published methodology, and because those methodologies are tested against our own transition and default studies.
